A reflecting roof underlay is a reflecting membrane, designed to block a major part of the infrared radiation (heat), that reaches it from the outside, or from the inside, and to reflect it into the air layer facing it.
Thanks to its reflecting surface, the roof underlay sends the radiation energy into the upper air layer, thus slowing the transmission of the heat on the underface.
