Beginning July 1, 2006, certain Siplast products
needed to be CE labelled so that they could be marketed in the
European Union. This labelling attests that a product satisfies
European Regulations, as provided for in the European Directive "Building products" (DPC 89/106 EEC). Such attestation of compliance,
issued by an accredited body makes it possible to attest that
the product meets the minimum requirements of a technical specification
either under a harmonised European standard, or by the obtainment
of a European Technical Agreement (ETA).
The CE marking is composed of the stylised letters CE affixed
to the products. In certain cases, the logo is accompanied by
the identification number of the body concerned in the assessment
of the compliance, and by the number of a certificate if there
is one.
On its site, Siplast provides three documents:
- The CE compliance declaration;
- The accompanying document;
- The technical datasheet.
All documents are available on the site as soon as the CE marking
is obtained for the Siplast products requiring it. |
